SC 4.1.1 Parsing any webpage of LMS throws multiple errors

Description

This issue is about parsing any page of the LMS with any validator, as for example, Unicorn: https://validator.w3.org/unicorn/

https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/ensure-compat-parses.html

When validating, a lot of errors are thrown. I understand many of the errors are CSS rules to work with Explorer for example, but others are pure CSS errors that I think should be fixed.

Is this the validator you use? Do you use another validator? Are you going to fix these kind of errors? Or should these errors be fixed?

Thank you for the feedback. I've checking some of the parsing errors and the majority are in CSS. These errors are more about validity of CSS. Some of them were solved in master and some of them not, but they do not produce an accessibility issue, just an invalid value in CSS.

WCAG Principle 4 (Robust) requires that a page only be successfully parsed. It does not explicitly require page validation. 4.1.1 specifically mentions unique IDs for instance. However, there are many cases where having non-unique IDs (which many, including myself, consider to be a shameful error) do not create an accessibility issue at all (because they are not referenced by any aria-* attributes for name calculation or for target definition.) EdX does not include an HTML validator in our CI environment at this time (although it is under consideration). If there is a specific parsing error that is producing an accessibility issue that you are aware of, please let us know and we would be very glad to fix it
