Add cross references to discussion topics for how to enter math formatting

Description

I wanted to determine how to write a math equation in discussion posts, and couldn't find anything in the learner guide. I expected to see something about it here:

http://edx.readthedocs.io/projects/edx-guide-for-students/en/latest/sfd_discussions/add_post.html#add-a-post-on-the-discussion-page

pointed me at this course team FAQ that describes the capability:

https://courses.edx.org/courses/MITx/16.110x/1T2014/faq/

It would be great to have a section on the markdown syntax that we use in general, and all of the capabilities including LaTeX.
