Verify status of analytic devstack build in Hawthorn

Description

In connection with the Hawthorn release, review the Analytics Devstack docs at http://edx.readthedocs.io/projects/edx-installing-configuring-and-running/en/open-release-ginkgo.master/installation/analytics/index.html

  1. Verify that it's still maintained and something that we want to document. should be able to help.

  2. Update it as needed, presumably using Docker and not Vagrant.

Just a ping here, do we have an estimate when this work will be picked up?

We also have a story, DE-649, that is related to reviewing this work. Coordination should probably go through that ticket, rather than just through me.

Actually, while we have added support to run a docker version of analyticstack, we did not make the same announcement that we would deprecate the Vagrant analyticstack. So our current plan is to document the deprecation of Vagrant analyticstack, as well as point to docker analyticstack (or whatever we call that), but also continue to document the use of Vagrant analyticstack. We would look to remove the documentation for Vagrant analyticstack with the next named release.

What we don't know, and would look to get further guidance on, is how much the current documentation will change for Hawthorn with the regular devstack's move to Docker. That might impact how the analyticstack support in Vagrant and Docker are documented.
