Gradebook V2 - Filter Drawer

Description

As an instructor, I want to be able to use Gradebook filters to zero in on a group of learners.

Right now the filters list occupies most of the screen real estate. The goal of this ticket is to move filters to the side, allowing the course team to view filters & the table of learners at the same time

ACs

  1. Move the Gradebook filters into a collapsible drawer on the left side of the table

    1. Default state: closed

    2. Collapsed state: a Filter icon button on top left of table, no drawer visible

    3. Opened state: drawer opens on left hand of table. Table, applied filters, etc. moves right

  2. Drawer includes: Gradebook filters, "Apply Filters" CTA button, close button

    1. A way to hide/show the filter drawer

    2. A way to apply the non-live-update filters - e.g. Go buttons for assignment/course score ranges

    3. Some filters(track, cohort, assignment types) are live-update

  3. Behavior is side bar rather than overlay:

    1. Clicking off the drawer closes drawer? No

    2. Should instructors be able to engage with content on the right? Yes

  4. Display list of applied filters above table

Notes:

  • we’re removing the Apply Filters button for this version.

  • there should be a “Go” or “Apply” button next to Assignment grade range

  • chose “side bar” vs: “overlay”
