Discovery: Creating Learner Portals for Hidden-from-Marketing Programs

Description

We're planning on making a miscellaneous "other folks" program which would enable GaTech to enroll learners into a single Master's course which overlaps the curricula of their Master's programs, and be enrolled in the Master's track for that course, but not be in the Master's programs themselves. We're concerned that such a program, which would need to be hidden from the marketing website some way, would not be pulled through the build processes we use to put together learner portals.

Questions

  1. Which bit do we flip to hide a program from the marketing site?

  2. (Less important, but would be helpful for testing if true Can we pull a program in such a state onto a sandbox via https://tools-edx-jenkins.edx.org/job/sandboxes/job/UpdateMastersSandbox/ ?

  3. Can we create a learner portal (in any environment) for such a program?
