UX - Improving Learner Experience for ORA File Uploads

Description

Following from EDU-5531...

In order to reduce the likelihood that learners upload excessive numbers or sizes of files, we may want to add directional text under the sub-header "File Uploads (Required)" that explains how many files learners can upload at a time and provide some messaging around limits.

Questions:

  • What are our File Size limits?

  • What are our File Number limits?

, to follow-up on file limitations:

  • Max 20 files per learner (team submissions can have > 20 files but each learner may still only contribute 20 of those files)

  • Each individual file must be 500MB or smaller

We currently pop open an error banner below the File Uploads header if either of these validation steps fail when initially clicking the “Choose Files…” button.

  • Too many files: “We could not upload files: Only 20 files can be saved”

  • Too large: “Individual file size must be 500MB or less.”
