Location: iOS and Android Native app: any view that has a video in it.
Description: When activating the "Play Video" link, the video is displayed (without playing it) and focus is redirected to the top of the page. VoiceOver users who may be expecting for their video to be played will be confused when their focus is forcibly redirected.
Auditor Note: Developers must ensure that focus remains on the video and is not forcibly shifted to the top of the page.
Internal Note: Agreed, we need to move the focus to the video player at the very least. Ideally, the video would play like the control indicates. I also noticed that I could browse content behind the video player while it was playing. The only thing accessible should be the video and its controls. I had a hard time finding my way back to the video to pause it. This affects Android as well.
This sounds like it could be the way webviews handle videos. Not sure the best way to address this.
Could you please elaborate the exact place and meaning by " Activating Play Video link"?. As per my understanding, it would be the course outline component from where we open the video. When we open the video the focus properly shifted on video play/pause button instead of top of the page.
I could not reproduce this bug. I think it was resolved with the latest update to the video player views. Excellent! I'll close the ticket.
This has already been resolved in a previous update to the video player.
