The course-about pages do not always display information for the most relevant run of a course.
For example, https://stage.edx.org/course/v2-program-course-one-test7 displays information for an archived courserun by default, even though there is a current run available.
If the user clicks the 'Enroll Now' button on that page, without first clicking 'more dates', they will be enrolled in the archived run with no option to upgrade.
, could you please update this ticket with information about the criteria that should be used to select the run to display on these pages?
Note: We should also look at the program-about pages, and make sure the runs we're displaying a relevant run, according to 's criteria.
I spoke with about this one and although it is concerning we believe it is connected to another in progress ticket. This is not specific to the Entitlements and Bundling V2 work. Is going to link this to the other ticket and then place it in his triage backlog to look at it again when the linked ticket is complete.
For the Entitlement case there are some updates that is doing to the Enroll button that will help with some of this, but not all.
Is there a plan to overhaul this date information and UX process for the About pages in the future?
Can you verify if this is still an issue.
Is the issue with the More Dates link and which run the user is enrolled in by default resolved?
I didn't change this behavior, I only fixed an issue where 'more dates' wasn't displaying. I do not know if this is still an issue.
Ok Thank you for responding so quickly.
