It doesn't appear to be supported by ExoPlayer; they have an issue tracking it here: https://github.com/google/ExoPlayer/issues/26

It sounds like the Android platform media player has started supporting it with API 23, though very few people have that yet (It doesn't even show up on the dashboard page yet: https://developer.android.com/about/dashboards/index.html)

Huh. That's less than ideal. can you confirm that the video library we're using doesn't support speed control? And do you know of another that does? Might be good to add to the backlog. This is an important feature for learners.

IIRC they're only on iOS.

I could have sworn that we had speed controls on the app, but now that mobile-stable is busted I can't test.

IIRC this is because the video library we're using doesn't support it. Please confirm it's okay to punt this to a future release/how should we mark that?
