Android - Assessment - App do not show any message on offline mode for non video components
In offline mode when user tap on any non video section, app shows a continuous spinner instead of showing error message as it is appearing on iOS.
When user tap on any non video section app shows a spinner that continues spinning.
App should show below mentioned error message exactly as iOS app showing with the icon.
"You are not connected to the Internet. Please check your Internet connection."
Steps to Reproduce
1) Login to edX app.
2) Tap to open any course.
3) Tap on Courseware.
4) Switch off 'Wifi' of the device.
5) Tap on any non video component and view.
Reason for Variance
Looks good now.
Created that issue for both android and iOS MA-1936.
: Maybe file a separate bug report for it then for both platforms. Ideally, the spinner should stop upon losing connectivity, and there should be a persistent indicator (perhaps the same popup message) displaying the loss of connectivity, and upon regaining connectivity it should automatically restart the loading. cc ,
Yes iOS also shows the message with a spinner.
: Looks like the video components also keep displaying the spinner even after loosing connectivity. What is the iOS behaviour here? Is the same popup message shown there as well?
