Ensure hidden, decorative and duplicate content and artifact elements are not exposed to assistive technologies

Description

03 Find Courses

Once a filtering was made, for example selecting Architecture under Subjects, the other subjects are hidden from the list only showing the active filter. However the hidden selections such as the other subjects, the Clear Filter Architecture link can all be accessed with VoiceOver. This is a major issue for screen reader users who cannot see the screen and will be confused of the structure. In addition, keyboard users will also be confused.

Developers must make sure that all hidden element are also hidden from assistive technology users. In this web view, make sure CSS display:none is used on elements that are not visually displayed on-screen.
