app launches a connection to connect.facebook.net
Description
A learner has reported that when he is using the mobile app it launches a connection to connect.facebook.net - he wants to know what is this for? He wants to know if this should be happening after May 25 and has said that he will be filing a complaint under GDPR.
Please let me know if more details are required. His Message "Your engineers do not need a screenshot to know that they have included code in their app to communicate with Facebook."
Here is the URL that opens: https://connect.facebook.net/log/fbevents_telemetry/
Screenshot that popped up when he was watching a video on edX app:

Hi,
any updates on this one?
Hello, I have another report of this by another learner (liga.grunsteina@rtu.lv):
In Course LinuxFoundationX:LFS101x, Introduction to Linux:
Course->Chapter 03: Linux Basics and System Startup->Section 1: The Boot Process->Master Boot Record (MBR)-> click Next Unit -> starts to redirect to https://connect.facebook.net/log/fbevents_telemetry/
Learner says this happens only in the app, not on desktop.
A couple of screenshots here:
Hi,
Can someone please look into this. This is an anger learner full of threats
Thanks
