Node 16 → 18 Upgrade Update

• Information is pretty scattered and no one seems to know what the minimum set of fixes are that we need to unblock the 16 → 18 upgrade.

• Brian Smith is going to investigate to gather this information and will use https://github.com/openedx/wg-frontend/issues/26 as a starting point. I’ve linked all know related issues I’ve found to that ticket for now.

cs_comments_service Ruby upgrade

• https://github.com/openedx/cs_comments_service/pull/426 - tested and ready to merge.

• Thanks to Maksim Sokolskiy and RG for testing!

• We still need a mongo upgrade but that is not a Redwood blocker.

MFE Issues

• MFEs don’t support RTL for some languages.

  • Discussions for one.

• Learner Dashboard is the Default but doesn’t support a lot of languages.

  • How can we increase the number of supported languages.

  • Persian is not an available default language for translations.

ORA Issue

• There are UX issues with ORAs, what’s the state of ORAs as MFEs?

  • Current/Future state of the ORA MFE

• ORA Download Issues - reported in the forums but we’ll make a github issue as well.
