Needs for new Icon Component

• Ben: Not doing want font awesome has you do, the import FA library. Keeping it simple, just one component

• Should this be themeable?

  • Adam: probably someday but not today

  • David: Should they live in the brand and not in paragon?

• Reference the icon by name. If we do that we can add custom config someday.

• Alasdair: Would be good not to be stuck to material the way we are

ORA Alert/Error banners

• Ben: Should we add an emphatic version of the alert banner. Our alert style is too weak

• Jeff: WCAG 2.1 message, errors need to be programmatically associated with their controls

• These are not page level banners they are ORA step level

• How should we go about this

• Lael: I’ve been doing duplicate stories, one in PAR board and one in my squad board

• Jeff: we do the same with a11y

• Ange: we will make two tickets.

• If we get the palette right then color contrast questions will go away.

• Two accent colors, blue and yellow. People are starting to use those for text. They’re problematic. We need to stop that.

• Red garnet color used for text on dark backgrounds. On elm it’s 3:1-ish contrast so it’s good as large text
