When you expect edxapp to login and 'sudo su edxapp' does nothing!
Add the steps involved:
Run sudo vim /etc/passwd
Edit edxapp:x:1003:1006::/edx/app/edxapp:/bin/false to edxapp:x:1003:1006::/edx/app/edxapp:/bin/bash
