Will this be a fork or live as its own code going forward? Any maintenance concerns?
Is there anything missing or wrong about react color full?
[Jeff] WGAC 2.1 button should be noticeable. It could look like anything and it could be white on white for instance. Define edges of the trigger with a border of some kind. 2px box shadow around the button, following same pattern as the rest of the focus states in forms, buttons, and other focusable elements.
It’s OK not to support RGB and alpha today
Can CSS keywords be integrated, such as “white” “black” “orange” or “blue”? Perhaps iteratively
Consider adding notes into documentation about your solution choice and where other options fall down
Consider putting the selected color into the form once selected
Consider adjusting z index so that things like modal footers don’t cut off the viewable parts of the component. In the example it was cutting off the form and could be missed or cause confusion for the learner
Documentation should consider the trigger and a label, and if that should be required
There is a lot of interest from the community in pushing forward whatever theming improvements (read: design tokens) we can, as fast as we can. What are the best things tCRIL can do to push that forward? Anything we can do to help get design tokens across the finish line would be huge. Are they at a stage where work can start on integrating them into more MFEs?
Notes:
Trying to solicit multi team feedback on the solutions and identify gaps in the approach.
There is an alpha release available today
Local QA is happening on MFEs to uncover any issues
What is the migration path?
Having an MFE that considers color values would be useful, maybe leverage color picker
@Adam Stankiewicz let @Brian Smith know what MFEs are being worked on right now and how to get plugged in
The hope is to have a document with concrete migration plan to react to by end of this week
