    • “cheaper” ways to fix this, using z-index breakpoints and always putting certain things on the very top

    • Hook seems like a good way to address this

  • Path forward:

    • @Brian Smith will try to reproduce the reported issue and find a fix with minimal code changes

    • After that, we will look into ways to implement z-index hooks
