Student Notes in Dogwood
Per our meeting for Cypress, @Beth Porter (Deactivated) would like to make sure Student Notes are enabled and documented in Dogwood.
@LeslieG (Deactivated) - what would we need to do to get this in? Is there anything we can do to get up to speed on Notes?

Thanks for the prompt response! We're currently in the information gathering stage of what we can and can't include in Dogwood. If it looks like we can't get Student Notes in, that's fine as long as we understand why. With Cypress, we tried to info gather way too late, so I'm trying to get in front of our next release (and perhaps even start feeling out what we think might make it into Eucalyptus).
When is Dogwood slated to be cut? That will help me plan if I do get more cycles.
Late October, with some wiggle room around the Django upgrade work. See parent page Dogwood for summary information on the release.
@Ned Batchelder (Deactivated) the notes feature was included in the Birch release. Do you have any insight into what work needed to be done for Dogwood, or why Beth, Sarina, and Leslie thought that it had not been released?
Also, I found a detailed procedure for getting notes running in Confluence. Is this information needed in the Installing, Configuring, and Running Open edX Guide? Ditto this procedure for Student Notes on Docker Devstack.
Sorry, I don't know off the top of my head. I guess we could give me a task to find out more.
@Sarina Canelake (Unlicensed) @Beth Porter (Deactivated) The following items need to be completed before Student Notes can be enabled in Dogwood:
RequireJS work in https://openedx.atlassian.net/browse/TNL-2611 needs to land. This is very close and should land soon.
Stories in this epic https://openedx.atlassian.net/browse/TNL-2461 need to be completed. This includes performance profiling, adding pagination to help with performance, and general land-the-epic stories. @Sylvia Pearce (Deactivated) has completely documented the feature, so the only work left is in this epic. Unfortunately, this is not making the cut for Q1 TNL work.
So, besides if the open source team wanted to take on stories in TNL-2461, there isn't a lot to speed up the work. As we have more people added to the TNL team in Q1, there is a chance that something will open up for me to give this to one of the new people, but that's a stretch at this point.
