Meeting notes

  • Database of test users

    • It would be useful to have a database of users who would be prepared to participate in usability tests from time to time

    • Users could be grouped according to their specific knowledge and experience of the platform

    • It may be worth investigating how tools like UserVoice, Gainsight, Segment and FullStory use segmented lists to address specific user concerns, as well as how they measure platform usage

    • There are certain privacy concerns to consider, such as listing a test user’s email address publicly

  • Proposal to address certain content creation needs of non-technical authors

  • List of UX/UI projects

    • The original list (created in Google Sheets) has been moved to the wiki

    • @Ali Hugo will add a column for links to the relevant Github spaces

    • The Mobile Working Group is investigating naming options for different versions of design files. This could possibly become the naming convention within the community

    • We will introduce a slot at the beginning of each of our meetings where we run through the list of UX/UI projects and ask for updates (if there are any)

  • The new Studio home design is ready to build!

 Action items

  • Database of test users

    • @Jenna Makowskito investigate UserVoice, Gainsight, Segment and FullStory as possible tools to facilitate usability testing

    • @Ali Hugo to ask client owners at OpenCraft whether they know of any users who would be willing to be added to the database

  • Santiago’s proposal:

    • @Ali Hugo volunteered to review

    • @Jonathan Fay to share prior Figma designs

    • @Santiago Suarez to ping product WG for more reviews and to triage in next meeting and include figma files for UX/UI to review
