1. General Project Updates

2. In-Context Analytics & Sidebar Patterns

• A new project will integrate analytics into the Studio sidebar to provide context-specific data.

• The goal is to migrate existing sidebar patterns from the content library into Studio for a better experience.

• The work is moving quickly and expected to develop at a steady pace.

3. Notifications in Studio

• Discussion on integrating notifications into Studio.

• The proposed approach is to use a plug-in model rather than making it a core feature immediately.

• This would allow flexibility without requiring immediate product approval.

• Further discussions will take place in an upcoming core product meeting.

4. UX/UI Project Status Updates

• Course Content View & Visual Course Progress: Both are near completion, with requirements fully documented.

• User Testing: Some projects will enter user testing soon, but testing for mobile remains a key area requiring improvement.

• Content Libraries Relaunch: The next phase of development will focus on unit, section, and subsection support.

5. Icons & Design Standardization

• Recent workshop reviewed existing platform icons, identifying inconsistencies.

• Missing icons for key concepts like section, subsection, unit, course, and library were discussed.

• Goal: Establish a standardized icon system to prevent future confusion.

• Material Icons vs. Material Symbols:

  • Current Paragon design system has some Material Icons.

  • Decision to stick with the existing system for now, as some new Material Symbols icons are not optimized for mobile.

  • Further discussions required to refine the best approach for consistency across web and mobile.

6. Studio Facelift & TinyMCE Updates

• Mixed progress on the Studio facelift project; some parts completed while others remain on hold.

• TinyMCE plugin enhancements (embedding video, iframes, internal links) require clarification on approval status.

• Next steps: Reach out to the relevant contributors to determine the project's future direction.

7. Future Workshop Topics

• Further refining and standardizing icons across the platform.

• Reviewing the user experience across different sections and providing feedback.
