Follow-ups

  • RBAC project (Mafer / Majo / Christian):

    • Report which critical PRs have been merged since Wednesday: RBAC AuthZ Board • openedx

    • Confirm that the remaining frontend PRs are either merged or tracked for backport.

    • Confirm if Plan B (temporary branch including unmerged code) is still required.

    • If Plan B proceeds:

      • Confirm branch name and responsible owner.

      • Ensure the merge-back plan and testing steps are documented.

    • Confirm backport plan to Ulmo branch during week 1 of release testing.

  • Sandbox readiness (Ahmed / Sara):

    • Confirm agreement on testing theme (default theme vs Indigo), following up on feedback shared by Sam and Max. If so, confirm Indigo is functioning and cosmetic issues are acceptable for cutoff.

      • Indigo is not using design tokens

    • Verify that Aspects 2.6.0 (or latest) is already included.

Cutoff date & Final Decision

Confirm if we proceed with the Tuesday, Oct 28 cutoff as planned or shift further if blockers remain. → Moved to Thursday

Testing & QA Progress

  • Confirm that library tests have been added to the testing sheet.

  • Verify that new RBAC and Console features are covered.

  • Confirm MIT and WGU support for testing assignments.

  • Confirm when the test-a-thon is going to be scheduled.

Documentation & Release Notes

  • Confirm that developer-facing release notes compilation has started (Chris).

  • Confirm timing for community release notes and wiki updates (Jenna / Aamir).

Ensure all PRs with release-relevant changes are tagged or listed for documentation.

Security & Infrastructure

  • Confirm the merge of the pending security patch (Gábor).

  • Confirm sandbox configuration stability (Indigo + Aspects).

🌳 Upcoming Releases

  • Confirm public announcement of release names (Willow, Xylon).

  • Note any early preparation tasks for Willow’s cycle kickoff.
