Python APIs proposal

@Kyle McCormick

Asking people to check out proposal:

openedx-platform

@Kyle McCormick

Renamed from edx-platform to openedx-platform. Issues to talk about when Feanil comes back:

  • Documentation about the change

    • If it’s an href to the repo, things Just Work

    • Ensure docs build is renamed

    • Do before Verawood

    • Also figure out openedx-proposals (maybe Feanil did some magic there already)

Verawood testing plan?

@Robert Raposa

Performance testing/issues around Verawood

  • Previously issues would be found in master at 2U servers

  • Is there a plan? BTR?

    • “BTR does what they do”; performance has not been a priority; to change this, the group needs a broader membership; the group would be probably receptive to performance leadership

    • RacconGang has been writing Cypress tests; we hope to run these for/by Verawood; don’t know how comprehensive the testing will be; they’re not explicitly performance tests, though

    • MIT has been running master and contributing fixes to issues found in production(-like) environments; we don’t know how long they’ll continue doing this

    •

React 18 support window?

@Adolfo Brandes

The React 18 support window is a bit murky. We should find out if we need to upgrade to 19 by Verawood.
