What did Sarina say? Do we have a day, format, or space confirmed?

Point releases

Raised on slack: new ulmo release to include security patches! When will this happen?

Release planning overview

Summary of the April 16th Named Release Planning meeting for those who weren't there:

What’s done

  • LTI long-term tool reusability discovery

  • Course library import UI

  • Notifications phase 2 configuration enhancements

  • PDF xblock

  • Python 3.12

  • Tags support complex metadata

  • Phase 2 AI extensions framework

  • XQueue replacement (delivered; docs have until June)

  • Copyright acceptance agreement (confirmed done)

  • RBAC (studio roles) milestone 0

What's at risk / in flight

  • LTI block copy paste (potential blocker): Jenna would hold the release for it. Testing was happening after 04/16 - need outcome.

  • RBAC milestone 1 (studio roles parity, on track): One story blocked (Kira AI not cleared) but can ship without it via compatibility layer.

  • RBAC milestone 2 (studio admin console, potential blocker): 3 backend endpoints in review blocking frontend PRs. Testing has to follow immediately after merge. Jenna would hold the release for this.

  • Aside documentation (not a code cut blocker): Docs deadline is June 23rd. Peter Pinch is working on it.

  • MFE conversion - instructor dashboard (yellow, not a blocker): May not have an optional install ready in time.

  • Frontend base libraries (in development): No blocker signal.

Release readiness check

Soft touchpoint - we still have a few days before the cut. The goal is to surface anything that needs attention now.

The two items to watch:

  1. LTI block copy paste - pending testing result

  1. RBAC milestone 2 - pending PRs review + testing

If either looks risky, the question is: what do we need to unblock it before Thursday?

Wednesday (04/22): async go/no-go check in Slack - this is the hard decision point before the Thursday cut. By then RBAC milestone 2 testing should have results and we'll know the LTI status.
