A potential ideal version of this tool supports the following user stories:
As a course creator, I would like to include the recommender at the course level as an optional page, in order for learners to share resources related to the course as a whole.
As a course creator, I would like to include the recommender within course content as well, in order to focus learners’ attention on a specific sharing activity on a single topic.
As a course instructor, I would like data on which learners are submitting resources to the recommender, and how valuable other learners have found their submissions in order to recognise and reward positive contributors, and potentially to intervene to punish negative ones.
As a course instructor, I would like to be able to grade learners automatically or manually based on their participation in Recommender activities.
As a learner, I want to be able to easily share links to resources, text content, and images with my peers in the Recommender.
As a learner, I would like to be able to comment on shared resources to discuss them further.
As a learner, I would like to receive notifications and recognition that my submission to recommendations is scoring highly and of use to other learners.
As a course instructor, I require robust moderation tools:
I would like to be able to review shared and flagged resources from a centralised dashboard, rather than having to find each instance of the recommender within my course.
I would like to see who has shared inappropriate content, and who has flagged it for staff review to ensure that abusive content submitters can be removed, and malicious reporting can be contained.
I would like to be informed via some form of notification when there is content flagged for review by multiple learners in order to quickly intervene when there is an issue.
