General Observations

  • Across all pages, The UI is clean and minimalistic.

  • The fonts are consistent across both the Account and Profile pages in both the Indigo and Open edX themes.

  1. Page Layout & Spacing

Indigo theme:

  • Adds vertical gutters (left and right margins) to center the content and create a balanced whitespace.

  • Sections are contained within cards, which improves readability and separation.

OpenedX theme:

  • Full-width layout with little or no horizontal gutter.

  • Sections flow together with minimal separation

  1. Action Elements

Indigo theme:

  • Uses clear action buttons (“Edit”, “Add”) that stand out visually.

  • Buttons give a modern, app-like feel.

OpenedX theme:

  • Relies on text hyperlinks for actions (e.g., “+ Add location”).

  • Less emphasis on interactivity; feels more like a form or document.

  1. Styling Details

Indigo theme:

  • Rounded corners, card shadows, and a light gradient header give a polished, modern look.

  • Consistent typography and button styles.

OpenedX theme:

  • Flat, minimal styling with a dark patterned header.

  • Typography and interaction links are functional but less styled.
