Findings

Global Access had highest interest among themes, but only had one feature. That feature (Offline Download Improvements) was the top choice in the ideas ranking. There may be benefit to having an idea brainstorm around this theme.

Learning in the moment was one of the top highly ranked themes with 4 total votes. Six of the 23 ideas were in this theme, the highest count of any theme. Despite that, ideas in the theme received the lowest number of votes. This may point to an overlap between themes, particularly Leverage the Mobile Format theme. It will be worthwhile to understand if the ideas are not capturing the aspect of the theme that appealed to participants.

Some ideas fit across multiple screens, so making broad statements based on the ‘data’ should be done with care. For example, one of the top vote-getters was Persistent Mobile Notifications/ Inbox… That feature has been in the “Towards a Personal Learning Coach” which may be from the expected follow on projects (conversational style messaging, smart notifications for motivation, etc). But functionally is more about leveraging the mobile notifications capabilities.

Next Steps

  • Generate more ideas in the Global Access space

  • Re-evaluate the “Learning in the Moment” theme

  • Document steps forward for Offline Download Improvements

    • Potential project upcoming

  • Generate Mobile Push Notifications feature roadmap

    • In progress alignment with 2U plans and platform notifications effort lead

  • Create product document for Mobile Previews for Web
