Work from home facilities the team member to work from home when there is a need and it shouldn't be considered an alternative way of doing work. Availability is key, you should be synced up with the team in Lahore on all means from meetings to internal discussions. Here are the expectations of the team in Lahore which a member should fulfill if he decides to work from home. 

Expectations of the other team members

  • Notify

    • Should notify as early as possible that he is working from home in Slack or Email escalation@edx.org

  • Responsiveness: 

    • Should be available for slack during the working hours on Slack for Chat or Call

  • Availability

    • Make sure your working hours overlap with the team in Lahore 
    • Should have a good internet connection 
    • Should attend all the internal and external team meetings
    • Should notify for the time slot when one is unavailable

  • Productivity

    • The productivity level shouldn't fall if someone is working from home. He should be as efficient as he is.
  • If the team is affected by his working from home, he should be equipped to unlock them by all means without causing delaying.
