Focuses on identifying and entering new geographic regions and industry sectors to expand Open edX’s user base. ​

Revenue Growth

Focuses on supporting Open edX ecosystem, community members, and partners by identifying innovative revenue models within the broader edTech industry.  ​

- Identification of revenue models or tools that increase partner success. 
- Analysis of pricing models for services using Open edX. 
- Support in developing services for clients using the Open edX platform. 

- Gather feedback from members on needed tools and services. 
- Identify and support new features that enable better service delivery. 
- Conduct competitive pricing analysis. 
- Research new revenue models in edTech.

Community Engagement and Transparency

Aims to foster an inclusive, collaborative community that supports the growth and innovation of Open edX while ensuring that all documentation and communication are up-to-date and well-coordinated.

  • High levels of community involvement in Biz Dev activities. ​

  • Transparent and up-to-date documentation and communication. ​

  • Regular and effective engagement with the Open edX community. 

  • Organize community events, webinars, and feedback sessions. ​

  • Regularly update community on Biz Dev progress via Discourse and other platforms. ​

  • Coordinate with other WGs to ensure consistent communication. ​

  • Document all processes clearly.

  • Collect feedback from members on needed tools and services. ​

  • Research and recommend revenue streams based on edTech industry trends. ​

  • Conduct competitive pricing analysis for member-offered services. ​

  • Organize feedback loops between members and developers. ​
