Channels currently owned by edX will have to be re-created in the Open edX Slack, and then shared with 2U. The old channel will be renamed with an “old-” prefix, and the new channel will have the same original name. But this will mean you have to join the new channel, moving from the old edX-owned channel to the new Open-edX-owned channel. The old channel will be locked to ensure the discussion isn’t split between the old and new channels.
Channels owned by Open edX can stay as they are, and simply be shared again with the 2U Slack. There will be no renaming, and you will not have to do anything.
Some channels have fallen out of use, and will be abandoned.
