Node 20 upgrade

• The plan is clear for Tutor, but we need to coordinate when to merge PRs to master

• Status of Node 20 Upgrade in edx-platform

  • Brian Smith has got node 18 working in edx-platform with some test failures that he’s looking into now.

Will update the meeting to be the same UTC time which means it will shift in the USA

Notes from edx-platform specifics

• Mongo Upgrade

  • forums and edx-platform mongo changes will land soon, but we would like comms or PRs out of 2U to drop support for older mongo and ruby versions.

• Jest Upgrade

  • Can we test at least one or 2 MFEs with the branch of frontend-build before we land the breaking changes.

• edx-platform Apps and Ownership

  • Internal at 2U - there was a discussion for django apps in edx-platform.

    • What should we do with that data?

  • Potential Models

    • Have a maintainer for the top level directories and then CCs for other django apps.

    • Have only maintainers down at the app level.

    • There could be a bunch of other models.

    • It might be helpful to draft something like this.
