Brian M. onboarding conversations
Brian Mesick
I’ll be reaching out to folks for ~30 min one-on-one calls
Particularly interested in hearing about where folks want to contribute, technology selection suggestions, and experiences of folks who have written their own analytics solutions
Or if you don’t want to wait for me just grab a slot on my calendar! https://calendly.com/bmtcril
Questions about event-routing-backends
Brian Mesick
No one knew if this plugin was turned on on edx.org today.
Backend supports both xAPI and Caliper
There’s the ability to route based on matching events
Supports multiple types of authentication
For edX the original usecase was edX enterprise. Zia’s team met with the team to demo the plugin, but is not sure whether it was adopted.
The plugin currently has all the functionality that was discussed in OEP-26.
You can create a version of an event transform if we are making changes.
Breaking changes should result in a major version increment
How does an operator choose which version of an event they get?
Rest of time
Working session on learning events
Path forward
Create ADL group for a learning event profile
tCRIL should probably own this and can invite folks to collaborate
Together we would design and implement the profile for Open edX learning traces.
✅ Action items
