Forums (Discourse)
Discourse is a forums software that we use as a question and answer platform, as well as a platform to announce things that are important to the community - such as upcoming meetups, new blog posts, and feature deprecations that we want comments on.
Discourse retains history forever, making it a great place to search for an answer to your question before asking it. Many times, someone else has resolved a similar problem and you'll be helped immediately! If not, ask your question and think carefully about the category to put the question in. We have a ton of categories, and many people only watch one or two. Putting a coding question in the "Development" category or a question about running the software in the "Site Operators" category means more people will see it and you'll get an answer sooner.
