Documentation for Open edX Platform

Confluence is a wiki-style site where the community publishes pages related to current and past projects, programs like the Core Contributor and Maintainer programs, information on upcoming events, and more. You can browse the wiki at openedx.atlassian.net, where you can browse all the pages with no account. We encourage you to make an account, which allows you to comment on pages, update older pages to have more current information, and even create new resource pages.

Official Documentation

docs.openedx.org is our documentation site where you can learn about various aspects of the Open edX software. There are pages for site operators (people running an Open edX instance), developers, educators, and documentors (people who want to help write the docs). We encourage you to use this site to find answers to questions you have related to operating & developing. We also encourage you to add new pages and update existing pages! There are quickstarts and how-to guides for making your first pull request, making changes to existing documentation, and making new documentation available on the Documentor's homepage.

Some pages are still present on the old Docs site, Building and Running an edX Course — Building and Running an edX Course documentation - we’re currently working on migrating these docs to the new, docs.openedx.org, site.
