Welcome to the Escalation Blog!

Welcome to the brand new Escalation blog! If you haven't worked with us, heard of us, or just aren't super clear on what we do, we're an engineering team whose core function is to shield development teams (specifically TNL, ECOM, and Product) from interruptions. As a result, we triage many bugs that come into these teams, fix a sizeable amount of them, and work closely with service and support teams to make sure their highest priority bugs are being addressed. For a more detailed story, you can check out our explicit charter.

Our team is composed of Adam Palay (Deactivated) and a group of engineers at Arbisoft, in Pakistan. Read our "About the Sustaining & Escalations Team" page to learn about the people behind the JIRA handles (smile).

We started this blog to give the rest of the organization insight into what the team is doing and thinking about. We've learned a good deal over the past few years about triaging and fixing issues, working as a remote team, and the weird, strange corners of the platform. We hope to share what we know, and, in turn, to listen to your reactions, advice, and feedback, so we can continue improving our service to the organization.

We hope you enjoy these posts, and we look forward to hearing what you all think!
