New Files Page Deployed!

We are excited to announce that the new Files page, formerly known as the Files & Uploads page, has been deployed on edX Studio. 

TL;DR

The new Files page has the following enhancements

  • Ability to toggle between either a grid or list view

  • Bulk delete (or delete all) static assets with checkboxes 

  • The asset detail info modal enables you to know  all of the locations in the course where a file is referenced 

  • Ability to download files (or download all files)

  • New MFE and improved UX/UI

Details 

  1. Grid/List View Toggle: At a glance info within the list view includes File name, File size, Type and Access

  2. Bulk delete and delete all functionality: to delete more than one file at a time, first click on the corresponding checkboxes of the files that you wish to delete, then click on the Actions button, and then select Delete. To delete all files, select the very first checkbox, then select the action button and then select Delete. 

  3. Asset detail info: to find if a certain asset is within a course, first click on the three dot menu on the right-hand side of the page, then select Info. This will display an info modal on the page, indicating if the selected asset is in your course.  

  1. Download and Download All: Select the asset(s) that you want to download by clicking on the appropriate checkboxes, then click on the “Actions” button and select “Download”.
