Grid/List View Toggle: At a glance information includes video thumbnail, video name, video length, transcript, and active checkmark (checkmark tells you whether or not the video is active in a course).
Bulk delete and delete all functionality: to delete more than one video at a time, first click on the corresponding checkboxes of the videos that you wish to delete, then click on the Actions button, and then select Delete. To delete all videos, select the very first checkbox in the header row, then select the Action button and select Delete.
Video detail info: to find if a certain video is within a course, first click on the three dot menu on the right-hand side of the page, then select Info. This will display an info modal on the page, indicating if the selected video is in your course. Clicking on the Usage link in the bottom left corner of the modal will take you to the video in the course.
Additionally, you now have the ability to see the current transcripts as well as add new transcripts from the Transcript tab.
Download and Download All: Select the asset(s) that you want to download by clicking on the appropriate checkboxes, then click on the “Actions” button and select “Download”.
The Nine Other New Course Authoring MFE Pages: Outside of the Videos and Files (rolled out in November) pages, we have recreated 9 of the edX Studio pages inside of the existing course authoring MFE. This project has aimed to deliver feature parity in the new React-based pages, making adjustments only when a clear opportunity for optimization or deprecation appeared. The goal of this project has been parity with the legacy Studio UI experience (as opposed to the Videos and Files pages, which include new capabilities). One exception to this is the new Updates page, which now offers the ability to create updates with the same toolbar that exists in the editors (previously required HTML editing).
As we roll these pages out, there are still a few pages that have not been converted to MFEs. Those pages, specifically the Course Outline and Unit pages, are currently in development through a blended project with Open Craft (Course Outline) and an Axim funded project (Unit page). We believe that a fragmented Studio UI will be accepted by our users for a decent length of time. Studio previously has had four pages that live in the MFE: Text+Video+Problem Editors as well as the Course Pages & Resources page. We anticipate that extending this to more pages should receive the same general level of acceptance.
