Coursera - Certificates

Coursera certificates are very basic and do not include a vast range of information. They include:

  • Course name

  • Tutor’s signature

  • Partner Institution Logo

  • Verification URL allowing anyone you share the Certificate with to check its authenticity

  • Confirmation that Coursera has confirmed the identity of the recipient

But they do not include anything else. Institutions do not appear to be able to include custom text, or any additional information such as the learner’s grade, though the depths of customization available to partners on Coursera are unknown.

Coursera have two forms of certificate - course certificates and “specialization” certificates. Specialization certificates are essentially program certificates issued on the completion of multiple courses.
