Skilljar - Course-Level Assessment Configuration

Skilljar lacks significant functionality around high-level grading setup. Content is presented in Lessons, which can contain Quizzes. Whether a lesson counts towards overall course completion is controlled at the lesson level, and completion requires a minimum configurable grade, plus the completion of any required lessons (with completion granted from either simply loading content, or playing the entirety of videos).

There are no assignment grouping options or droppable assignments, the grading structure is as flat as possible. This makes sense given Skilljar’s focus on customer education and low-stakes courses designed for marketing and knowledge-sharing about solving specific problems with products. Robust assessment tools are not a selling point for their course provider audience of businesses, as their courses are not formally accredited.
