Skilljar - Polls & Surveys
Skilljar recommends using non-graded quiz questions as survey questions.
These results are not displayed to learners, and results are accessed entirely through analytics.
There are no other tools available in Skilljar for polling learners, and their entire platform is not geared towards social learning - their focus is on self-paced customer education.
A number of Skilljar’s question types are geared towards survey questions, such as the Linear Scale question.
Integrations
Skilljar exposes a large amount of learner data as custom variables which can be injected into links, rather than supporting specific integrations with polling and survey tools. This allows them to essentially pre-fill information into survey links, such as the name of the learner. They then provide staff with instructions on how to inject that data into their links.
This may be a personal data protection compliance issue that I’m not 100% comfortable with, so whether it’s worth replicating as an approach is questionable. I can see many uses for this kind of flexibility, but it’s worth checking that this is actually compliant with data protection regulations.
