Coursera - Assessment Setup

What is available on Coursera assessments is limited at best. I was able to find the following information at the assessment level:

• Quizzes and Assignments are Coursera’s two assessment objects.

• Staff can set attempt limits on Quizzes and Assignments.

  • In MOOCs, these attempt limits reset automatically after a certain period of time.

  • In private courses, attempts are properly enforced to disallow learners from reattempting graded content.

• Staff in private courses can “lock” assessments to prevent learners from accessing them until allowed dates.

• Assignments can be droppable, allowing lowest grades to be dropped according to assignment groups.

• Late assignments can be penalised, or not on private courses. MOOC learners can extend their own deadlines, so they’re never penalised or enforced.
