Brainstorm

  1. We want to have a Brand Ambassador with powerful personality to promote Open edX in the media etc.:

    1. hire one

    2. find a project and partner who can become a brand ambassador who will be promoting a brand

    3. build a network of influencers, maybe sponsor videos

  2. Highlight regularly that the Open edX platform is modern, is becoming easier and easier to use and to maintain - change the narrative that Open edX is difficult. It’s evolving, has regular updates etc. All - deployment, maintenance and upgrades. Tutorial from Regis. We understand that comparing to other platforms Open edX is not yet easy but we are improving and this is what we need to highlight. Integrate the AI bots who is more accurate and helps people to navigate through documentation.

  3. Offline Workshop in different cities similar to Django Girls on how to deploy and customise Open edX to involve more members to the Open edX community.

  4. Research if it’s true that US gov mandates to use certain LMSs, and if yes, we need to lobby our interests there - in the state of Florida, Universities has to use Canvas for the credit based programs. It’s mandatory. It will be nice to explore if AXIM can lobby this. We have to find a workaround.

  5. Explore regional communications in local languages and identify the user base

  6. Work on messaging on how to present the pricing comparing to other LMSs

  7. Revenue models - research how other LMSs are doing that. Compare our business-related processes with other communities.

    1. do other LMSses suggest access to sandbox environment? How does our sandbox and product itself compares to others.
