Agenda

  1. Organize a Team Meeting: Review your Confluence page for the current member list and connect with team members.

    1. Update the participant list as needed. We can send a community notification on your behalf, or you’re welcome to reach out directly.

  2. Outline Key Objectives and Actions: Draft 2-3 primary objectives and a list of key activities to support member success and revenue strategies, and prepare to share them at the next meeting.

    1. A template and sample OKRs and activities are already on the Confluence.

  3. Bring in Sales-Focused Colleagues: Sales-facing colleagues can offer invaluable insights on customer success and engagement. Please encourage your colleagues in Business Development and Sales to join and bring their perspectives!

 

Brainstorm

  1. We want to have a Brand Ambassador with powerful personality to promote Open edX in the media etc.:

    1. hire one

    2. find a project and partner who can become a brand ambassador who will be promoting a brand

    3. build a network of influencers, maybe sponsor videos

  2. Highlight regularly that the Open edX platform is modern, is becoming easier and easier to use and to maintain

  3. Research if it’s true that US gov mandates to use certain LMSs, and if yes, we need to lobby our interests there

  4. Explore regional communications in local languages and identify the user base

  5. Work on messaging on how to present the pricing comparing to other LMSs

Tangible Outcomes / OKRs ​

  • Positioning of Open edX - are we competing with Canvas/Moodle or what os our goal?

  • Attract people who is not still on Open edX

  • Identification of revenue models or tools that increase partner success. ​

  • Analysis of pricing models for services using Open edX. ​

  • Support in developing services for clients using the Open edX platform.

Activities to Meet Goals ​

  • Gather feedback from members on needed tools and services. ​

  • Identify and support new features that enable better service delivery. ​

  • Conduct competitive pricing analysis. ​

  • Research new revenue models in edTech.
