@Stefania Trabucchi will share updates on investigating the Moodle Certified Integration Partners program.

Updates on partnerships with Turnitin, Smowl, BBB, and others.

Next steps for building a partnership program and making a formal proposal.

Updates on ongoing student testing of Open edX installations.

@Jenna Makowski (if present) will provide insights on the progress of the product proposal process.

  1. Partnership Development

Overview: @Stefania Trabucchi led the discussion on partnership development, referencing examples like Turnitin, Smowl, and BigBlueButton (BBB), Credly,etc.
Action Points: Stefania asked for a volunteer to take the lead on partnership tasks and reach out to major companies.
@Juan Camilo Montoya took the initiative, leveraging his previous experience in this area.
@Esteban Etcheverry emphasized the importance of showcasing integrations (e.g., Turnitin) as a way to attract other service providers. Open edX is valued for its cost-effectiveness.
@Jenna Makowski suggested creating a list of integrable services to prioritize.
@Angie Ruíz recommended setting clear criteria for selecting vendor partners.
Angie suggested creating a nice brochure/handbook to be used and addressed to the partnership.

  1. Product-Market Alignment

Update: gave a brief update on the ongoing work to consolidate two templates into one. A more detailed update will be available in January 2025.

Stefania will share structured feedback from students who have run and tested an open edx installation process, in order to take action and improve the process.

  1. Member Success and Revenue Growth

@Natalia Vynogradenko provided an update on the plan, still in the brainstorming phase. Feedback is needed on areas of focus. Key highlights:Brand Ambassador Program: Using examples like ANANT to increase visibility.

Addressing Perceptions: Open edX is often perceived as difficult to use, but efforts are underway to change this view.

Django Girls Example: A global franchise model where individuals with coding knowledge can organize workshops and create guides.

Ongoing projects:Regional communications strategy (still in progress).

Pricing comparison (still in progress).

Revenue models (still in progress).

Vineet suggested enhancing communication between members and emphasized the value of the mentoring program in adding a unique dimension to member success.

Esteban re-emphasized the need to explore monetization opportunities.

Angie Ruiz highlighted the importance of research and offered her support in this area.

AI Strategy: @Vineet Manuja was tasked with reaching out to groups regarding AI strategy. If no groups exist, an AI-focused group should be created. Read more TOC Meeting notes 2024-10-08
