[BD-14] Sync 2020-09-08
Touch base on project timeline:
Current timeline: [BD-14] Blockstore Powered Content Libraries & Taxonomies
Modernizing CAPA editor
Is studio-frontend good to use?
This case seems like its purpose
Was painful to implement, but should be good to use.
@Kyle McCormick (Deactivated) will put out feelers on this
V1 Libraries deprecation timeline
There are implications here for edge.edx.org and Open edX. I want to make sure that we get any necessary balls in motion with enough lead time for us to deprecate when we want to.
Manual export/import of V1 libs will be available
Putting Blockstore in Studio would remove blockstore-as-as-service dependency
but, we’d have to enable the blockstore app in Edge as well
Modernizing Edge will require data migration w/ organizations
Deprecate “non-organizations”, or remove BD-14 dependency on organizations?
Non-organizations is chaos; let’s not move back that direction
Guess: mid-2021 for v1 libraries deprecation
@Kyle McCormick (Deactivated) initiate process to enable edx-organizations by default and DEPR the absence of the app.
