5-10 minutes | Process-related follow up from PWG last week | @Adam Stankiewicz | At the last PWG meeting, Raymond asked a great question of how to implement a wireframe from Jon using the Collapsible component. Jon mentioned he copied the pattern from elsewhere in the platform, but wasn’t sure whether it was using a Paragon component or what one. [question] How can we help designers better identify whether Paragon components (and which ones) are used in pre-existing patterns across the platform and/or communicate that to engineers? Similar-ish question from @Ben Warzeski (Deactivated)
Ask: for engineers, additional training for how to interrogate a UI mock (in Figma, or otherwise)? Another ask: for designers, capture as much intent as possible upfront? Another challenge: As an engineer, do I need to do custom styling to build out a UI element? How do I know if it’s an existing pattern or not? How do we get a tighter feedback loop between PWG and when custom styles are needed?
