Upgrading to Bootstrap 5

• How should we be thinking about future upgrades for things like Bootstrap (v4 → v5)?

  • Drops support for IE

  • Responsive typography by default

  • More control over certain things like gutter

  • Additional CSS utility classes to do common tasks like vertical centering

  • Removes dependency on jQuery

  • Allows us to upgrade react-bootstrap.

It’s a major version update, which means some discovery and manual effort to avoid breaking changes.
