We can consider 5 categories of courses for rollout:

  1. New courses

  2. Re-run of courses with none or very few xblocks

  3. Re-run of courses with considerable amount of course blocks

  4. Re-run of courses needing complicated rollout (e.g. one xblock reference in 2 units etc.)

  5. Active courses

We need to target category # 1 for testing on stage.

Once done, we need to target category # 2 and #3 for initial rollout

Scroll bar for post view box in new MFE is not needed.

To avoid dual display of posts, we can set default view of discussion xblocks to collapsed.

We cannot remove the existing xblocks entirely.

We can set the default mode of xblocks to collapsed.
We can also the xblock expand button such that when user click it, it opens the side-bar instead.

Option to add discussion xblocks will be removed with v1.7 rollout.
