• edx/edx-name-affirmation - still need more info to understand product impact.

Django Settings for XBlock Migration

• Early deployers: Consider overriding these Django settings to False

• Meta Question: Not a breaking change but is an operational note that would go in the Release Notes for named releases, what’s a good way to notify early deployers? Is a discourse post good enough?

• wg-documentation is ready to archive edx-documentation

  • No blockers on the 2U side

  • Sarina will archive imminently

Django Upgrade

• Next: Waiting for the 5.2 release which will happen in April

• Next Action: @Awais Qureshi and @Feanil Patel will be meeting to talk through the action plan for ticketing the work and distributing it to maintainers.

• Repo Maintainers will see issues in their repos Mid-April and should start work after that.

• Deadline Thoughts?

    • Smaller repos/libraries should have an earlier deadline

Tagging Repos For Release

• People were tagging transitive dependencies with named release tags for docs to build correctly. This is problematic for a number of reasons, but we have a work around now that should make it smoother and nicer.

ES Lint

• Can someone take on landing this or should we stop and just ticket it.

• Current State:

  • style: remove eslint with frontend code removal ADR by robrap · Pull Request #36383 · openedx/edx-platform

  • PR should be doing the right thing but is failing and needs to get to green so we can land it.
