1. Current testing progress: 50%.

• Additional efforts are required to meet the internal deadline of November 30 for test completion.

• Concern: Completing the remaining 50% within two weeks may be challenging due to the complexity of pending tests.

2. Testing Process

• Status update:

  • Most tests are assigned, but some remain unassigned.

  • A combination of completing assignments and ensuring progress on ongoing tests is needed.

3. New Features Testing

• Header updates in the sandbox:

  • Pending updates for the header and Indigo in the sandbox environment.

  • Dawoud confirmed these updates are a priority.

• Bug triaging:

  • @Chelsea Rathbun to review product-related bugs and address them accordingly.

4. Release Management

• Backports and mobile focus:

  • A backport for the mobile API has been merged.

  • Discussion on including mobile applications in testing.

5. Release Documentation

• Major issue:

  • Sphinx doc build is failing due to memory overuse, even on systems with 64 GB RAM.

  • This issue affects the generation of the list of new waffle flags required for release notes.

6. Debugging

• Current status:

  • No new critical bugs identified.

  • Two active release blockers:

    • Release notes issue related to Sphinx doc build.

    • Programs button issue (fix merged, backport pending).

• Proposal:

  • Remove default content for the upgrade button slot in the Sumac branch to prevent configuration issues.

• Conduct root cause analysis to identify bottlenecks:

  • Lack of assignees vs. blockers encountered during testing.

• Collaborate with @Andrés González to address gaps and coordinate assignments.

• Product Working Group and Core Contributors to assist with testing efforts.

• Team to collaborate on resolving Sumac Release Notes · Issue #398 · openedx/wg-build-test-release promptly.
